SUN. MARCH 27th// Noon til 8PM
On Sunday, February13, Junkprints will be having an open studio from noon-8pm. There will be talking scarves screaming Eff Winter, there will be menacing mittens, a live band more mysterious than mystery flavor kool-aid, and there will be a showcase of my Spring goodies from my 'JunkPrince' collection. So follow the yellow brick road to The Junkyard. The live performance starts at 6:30pm but the golden gates open at 12. See you soon.
Happy end of summer! In conjunction with Fashion's Night Out, I'm hosting my first ever open studio shopping extravaganza and I'd like to invite you and yours to the festivities.
I'll be debuting some new Junkprints artwork and clothing in the new Junkprints studio: The Junkyard! The night wouldn't be complete with out DJ spinning, baked goodies, door prized. The festivities are free. Please RSVP so we'll know if we should be baking a wedding sized cake or a muffin.

WHERE: 66 Washington Ave, Brooklyn, NY, 11205, Btwn Flushing and Park Ave in the Navy Yard region of Brooklyn.
For the last few years Junkprints has been dedicated to pushing the boundaries of art and fashion through textile exploration, subversive graphics and clever juxtapositions. Recently we even had a feature in the New York Times. This whole Junkprints adventure has been quite whirlwind and I'm looking forward showing off the new junk and sharing this special evening with you 😉
Yesterday we (me and Mr. Tough Dumplin) completed the installation of the Etsy HQ wall of records! Rockin it it rockin it yes we are rockin it. Now I can truly say I have incorporated a Milli Vanilli image into a professional project I’ve worked on. Girl you know it’s true!
plan your work, work your plan.
'Stay Handmade' created from laser cut backs of album covers filled with 12" vinly. Etsy letters cut from 12" LPs over orange arcylic circles on square clear acrylic panels.
Desk features 12" and 45 vinyl.
Each record is linked with 1" binder rings through upcycled white grommets from the close down belt factory.
So my folks over at Ruffeo Hearts Lil Snotty (RHLS) are going real hard this month and are putting on the a show at Death By Audio, 49 S. 2nd, Brooklyn, NY 11211 on the 19th of October, That's this monday!!! Complete with comic relief, fashion and musical entertainment. You don't wanna miss this one,
I can't say too much about this picture without getting all worked up, except for my jaw was on the floor when I saw the line up for chicken...I just hope the line is twice as long when I pick up my farm share...yeah right!
Honestly that movie sucked. My pal Jen (and Photo Biz partner) and went to see see it (we found tickets left in the machine, how lucky for us 😉 But upon watching Watchmen we realized why those tickets were left. About 5 people walked out of the theater. It was like X-men meets the Chronicles of Narnia.
We had a blast at the Artists and Flea Market in Williamsburg. It was great to see Paulette (Dahlia Soleil), Ezra (Gmome NYC) and Georgia (holds down the event and makes amazing jewelry). Gosh I do miss vending and look forward to getting Junkprints out on the streets when it warms up...ooooh we're heading to Boston and DC this year...more on that later.
Anyhoot, I love just about anything shiny, it's as if my inner drag must emerge! While purusing the goods I came across these amazing dungaroos by Jana of Knickers and No Fur Coats...I want all my underroos to be made by her.
