Due to the weather the MARKIT event has be rescheduled to Sept 5th. See ya next sat
I'm so excited about this event! can't wait to see ya'll and hang w/ the Younity crew!
I'll be at the Sirens Music festival this saturday in Coney Island with a new batch of Brooklyn and Visionary Necklaces. I'm still not sure of my vending location but follow me on twitter (@junkprints) for the deets! See ya soon!
I'm so excited to announce that These NYC Junkprints necklaces are available at Allison's super cute store Teich. This is the first NY, NY store to carry Junkprints goodies so it's a really big deal. Funny how my goodies made it to London, Japan and Russia before they hit the island of Manhattan. I'm so excited to have my goods in her eco friendly store.
Yeah I've been the neglected blogger, I admit it...so what but just a heads up I think junkprints is gonna have it's first sale 😉 Stay tuned for more info and randomness. Check out this pic (taken by the fab Jes of SlowLoris), The fine ladies at bust hooked me up look at my freakin space, right across from Amy Sedaris (some folks just love her to death, but I just don't see it) She's funny but not that funny, I've had better laughs on the B77 bus to red Hook to tell ya the truth. Any hoot the bitch brings a crowd so she's alright by me 😉
Catch me at the Bronx museum from 6:30-9 tomorrow. Don't forget. See ya soon. Wow! This just in Homies! Saturday, Junkprints is gonna be at two places at the same time. Yep It's totally like Quantum leap. Just kidding, no bending of time and space but , my Gals Layla and Desira will be vending some of my Junkprints goodies at this year's New York Magazine Shop Best Bet,
I had such a blast at the Afro Punk Block party that I'm bringing Junkprints back for the Brooklyn Urban Arts Market on Sept 7th. The Sept 7th show will feature performances by Afrika Bambaata , CX KiDTRONiK, and many more. If yer around stop by and say hi 😉
Usually I'm not giving props to big ol companies who rip off lil companies, but I have to give it up to UrbanOutfitters for their Urban Renewal line. They've been at it for over 20 yrs and it's all manufactured locally w/ the help of 40 employees. That's pretty awesome. Read the interview with the head designer Dayna Haley.
