Let It Snow?
I am anxiously awaiting the expected 2-4 feet snowfall that is about to hit the mid-atlantic in the next couple of hours. I remember being so excited for snow to fall when I was younger. The constant checking of the news and crossing my fingers and toes that school would be closed. Of course every other county would close school except for mine where they always called for a two-hour delay. Sometimes, on days of especially heavy snowfall I would get a day off from school and go sledding with my friends all day. Luckily for me, my front yard had a steep slope that all the neighborhood kids could use for sledding and snowboarding. Sometimes it got annoying to see random people on my yard, but most times I didn't mind it (as long as I could borrow a snowboard). Now, when it snows I don't get as excited as I used to be. One, snow means I can't go to work and no work means no money. You see the problem here right? I decided to take a new approach to snow days. Maybe I will dig out my old sled and take it for a spin. Maybe. Or, maybe I'll busy myself indoors with activities. Yes. That might be the ticket. I'm feeling extra crafty today. There are so many things to do indoors when it snows. It'll be a good time to get my creative juices flowing.
